A conversation about the challenges and opportunities that face all of our churches. This event is for members of the CLC , the ELCE (Evangelical Lutheran Church of England), the Synod of German-Speaking Lutheran, Reformed and United Congregations in Great Britain and all Lutherans based here in the UK. It will be a time for us to be together to celebrate our shared Lutheran heritage while looking to the future of our churches.

3:00PM – Presentation by Susanne Ingebrigtsen. ‘Understanding the Growth of Megachurches: What to adapt and what to dismiss.’ The statistics of so-called megachurches are rapidly going upwards, while traditional churches continue to decline in numbers. What is the secret behind their success, and is it sustainable in the long run?

Our Speaker, Susanne Ingebrigtsen is a Norwegian, currently living in London studying International Business Management. Susanne previously studied theology and journalism, and her current research work and interests lies where these disciplines connect in church management and development.
