Eat & Encounter: Cook. Connect. Belong.
Do you love cooking and crave meaningful conversations?
Eat & Encounter is an initiative by the Council of Lutheran Churches’ Student Chaplaincy and the International Lutheran Student Community (ILSC), designed to bring international university students and young professionals together to share food, culture, and friendship.

We meet twice a month at the Luther Hub, located in St. Mary’s German Lutheran Church, on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

This initiative helps us move toward our shared vision of fostering belonging in ways that make a difference through embrace, encounter, and engagement.
What’s It All About?
Eat & Encounter is more than just a cooking session — it’s a space to:

  • Explore international cuisines and share your own cultural food traditions
  •  Engage in thoughtful conversations with university students and young professionals from around the world
  • Build lasting friendships in a relaxed and welcoming environment
  • Celebrate diversity and discover the values that connect us across cultures

This activity is open to all university students and young professionals. It takes place in a safe and inclusive space, where everyone is welcomed and respected regardless of ethnic, religious, or gender identity. All are warmly welcome to join!
